MKVTOOLNIX GUI SPLIT BY CHAPTER FULLHere’s the full ChangeLog since the previous release: This is a solely cosmetic issue which can be ignored. MKVTOOLNIX GUI SPLIT BY CHAPTER WINDOWSPlease note that the Windows installers (but not the actual programs) accidentally include a build number from the start of May (20160504-01204). Most of the Linux binaries are still being built and will be available in a couple of hours. MKVTOOLNIX GUI SPLIT BY CHAPTER MAC OSThe Windows and Mac OS binaries are available. MKVTOOLNIX GUI SPLIT BY CHAPTER CODEYou can download the source code or one of the binaries. There have been no changes for package maintainers since the previous release. The newly introduced option -no-gui will remain valid but won’t have any effect when used with the “mkvinfo” executable. Instead a separate executable (mkvinfo-gui) is included for those platforms which starts the GUI by default. One important change for Windows and Mac OS users of mkvinfo is that the change to start the GUI by default has been reverted. It’s a somewhat unremarkable release with Several smaller issues having been addressed and no huge changes or enhancements. Open each one to confirm everything went smoothly.Time for MKVToolNix v9.2.0.Once completed, you’ll be able to find the two newly created video files in the same folder where the source file is located. After you’ve configured the options in the Splitting panel, click the Start multiplexing button which is found towards the bottom of the window.MKVToolNix does a fantastic job at cutting files in half, but there are times when it’s forced to make one file slightly longer than the other. Note: one file may be a second or two longer than the other. That will ensure the resulting ‘split’ will only create 2 files. Finally, enter 2 in the Maximum number of files: box. Obviously you don’t have to cut the file exactly in the middle – it can be any length of time. Enter the point in time you want the video to be split in the Duration: box, which in my example is at 9 minutes and 24 seconds. Locate the Splitting panel within MKVToolNix and select After output duration from the Split mode: menu.Split in half, that’s 9 minutes and 24 seconds per file. As illustrated in the screenshot below, the video file I’m using as an example is 18 minutes and 48 seconds long. From there you should have no trouble locating the length of the video file. If you’re unsure how long your video file is, just open it up in a video player like VLC. Now you’ll need to figure out exactly where you want to cut the file.Give MKVToolNix a moment to process the file and then select the Output tab.mkv file you want to split, select it, and then click the Open button. ![]() Locate the Add source files button towards the bottom of the window and give it a click. To begin, click the New button in the middle of the window.
